Our Students Say
Learning Objective
Higher Certificate in Community Care Support program is designed for students who have completed the Certificate in Elder Caregiving Course - Caring for Walking Seniors, Wheelchair bound, Bedbound Seniors.
This advanced program comprises specialized modules that delve deeper into specific areas of eldercare, enhancing caregivers' competencies to provide comprehensive and compassionate care.

As part of the final phase of the Higher Certificate in Community Care Support program, students will engage in workplace learning through voluntary service. This provides an opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience while giving back to society by offering their free time to assist and interact with elderly residents.

Volunteering in eldercare settings allows students to deepen their understanding of aging, caregiving, and health-related needs, enriching their personal development. It also provides valuable insights into elder care practices, which may benefit their caregiving roles at home.
More importantly, volunteers contribute meaningfully to the well-being and quality of life of the elderly by supporting care teams and enhancing social interaction. Their presence brings warmth, dignity, and companionship to residents, making a lasting impact within the community.
